Fine Taste

Chef Marc Lanteri, who has been part of the circle of Michelin-starred Chefs for years, was born in 1968 in Tenda, a little village just over the Piedmont border, on the French side of the Valle Roya, where people's Italian roots are deeply felt. His culinary ascent began in infancy, thanks to a mother who shared the secrets of traditional cuisine and a father who cultivated genuine products of a generous land with many points of excellence.

After standing out at the Scuola Alberghiera di Mentone, Marc began his training with some of the most renowned interpreters of contemporary cuisine, such as Alain Ducasse, Christian Morisset, Michel Rostang, Enzo Santin, Annie Feolde and Paolo Teverini, who profoundly influenced his personal style.

From each of them Marc learned, with humility and determination, the art of haute cuisine, and experienced unique events firsthand that shaped his individual style. Chef Lanteri still pursues the same objectives today, in an ongoing search for flavor, genuineness and excellence, which results in an  extraordinary and dynamic balance of flavors expressed in tribute to this land.

In 2015 Marc Lanteri inaugurated a new chapter in the charming location of the Castle of Grinzane di Cavour, the landmark residence of Count Camillo Benso of Cavour, known internationally for years now as the seat of the Alba White Truffle World Auction.
