Fine Taste

The nexus of balance and passion finds one of its most eloquent interpreters in Maurilio Garola, whose reputation has expanded beyond the confines of Langa.
At La Ciau del Tornavento the cuisine, which Maurilio heads together with Marco Lombardo, ranges from typical Piedmont flavors (in discreetly revisited traditional recipes) to fish dishes, always with an eye to sourcing the highest quality ingredients, strictly in season and, if possible, locally grown.

Vaunting one of the area's most spectacular panoramas of the Langhe hills, La Ciau del Tornavento can also draw on an extraordinary wine cellar, one of Italy's largest and most complete: carved out of the tuff of the hill, it houses 65,000 bottles from all over the world.
